They are talking about glass tanks. But just so you know there are less expensive ways of keeping bp's and healthier as well. You can go to a target and pick up a 12qt tub and go to your local herp shop and pick up a heat mat, or better yet get online and order yourself some flexwatt, hook that up to a tstat with some paper towels or newspaper for substrate and a water bowl, your good man.... The glass tank thing can get tricky with keeping temps/ humidity up to par. Dont get me wrong you can be successful doing it but for me i stick with plastic, its easier to clean and i have no problem keeping temps and humidity precise. Not too mention if keeping more than a few animal's it could get pretty time consuming, so i have all mine in racks. Great space saver. Good luck i hope this all makes sense.

I would say a 10 gallon for a baby. Keep in mind they are very shy creatures who prefer tight dark places to live. Too much floor space can stress a young bp out.

It all depends on the size of your BP, a baby should be house in a 10 gallons, an adult should be house in a 30 gallons.
BP do better in smaller enclosure and it is important that the enclosure grows with your BP so he feels secure.

Because they don't have legs, the dimensions of width and depth are more important than the overall volume. Essentially you want something in the range of 1sqft of floor space (wxd) for each foot of snake occupying the space, so a 6ft adult would need 6sqft of floor space.

For babies you are going to want something small... I also reccommend going with plastic over glass... when I got my first snake I spent a ton of money on stuff i thought was needed only to have it now sitting in my basement.... Go with plastic it will make your life much easier... A lot of people like glass bc their BP's are on display but the truth is they sleep all day and are up all night... not many people will see them during the day so I say go with plastic... After youve had your snake for awhile (6months-yr) you can use your judgement on what size you want to house them in. A previous post says a full grown BP should be housed in a 30 gallon but I'd say this is a minimum not a must... I just built 4 custom cages for my 1yr olds that are 4x2x1.5ft which is much larger than a 30gallon tank and its fine... Size is more important with babies than adults.

None of you understand! I'm asking how large (in inches) a 30 gallon tank is.
