    scale rot?

Hey I am having an issue with mojo and I am trying to figure if maybe the vet was wrong as I see something that worries me. I may be oervlooking this but I swear some of the issue moved a little on his skin as far as spreading so I am wondering if anyone here has a picture of what minor scale rot looks like?

Hey, I just lost a snake to scale rot last night, and I have a male with minor. (1") on him. I will get picture up tonight when I get home of the male, and the dead female if it would help save your snake at least her death wouldn't be a total loss.

I would strongly recommend purchasing The Complete Ball Python by Kevin McCurley. It gives great information on the general care of ball pythons and also includes a section on all the common illnesses encountered with lots of pictures and how to treat them. Its pretty pricey though. I think I payed like $60 for it but its well worth the price I think. Im still new to keeping reptiles and havnt had to put the illness section into action yet and hope I never will. Just thought I would share it with you.

    Re: scale rot?

well I just finished with the routine of anti-biotics the vet gave me so I think that actually may be helping after looking at him a little mroe tonight. He does seem like the area looking bad hurts him like he was the first couple of days so I think I may be in the clear. Just have NO history of medical issues with reptiles except for this one time so got worried. My sympathies go out to you Syearout on your ladies death. I hope everything goes well with your little guy there. Thank you both for your responses
