Yep, other snakes do that. My Nagini adores her plants and climbing wood and I have a few pix of her doing a 'branch impression'.

As far as I'm concerned, the choice between tank or tub is based on many things. Number of snakes, personal desire to see your snakes better, decor preferences, budget... quite a long list. Most important, tho, is what your particular snake is most comfortable with...sort of like where and what you feed them. For example, my little girl prefers to eat in a small tub, but once she's done eating she wants nothing to do with that plastic thing. That, and the desire to watch her at night in a nicely decorated tank, is why I have her in a 20gal.

IMO, if you have multiple snakes, are on a budget, and live in a place where temps and humidity can go wild, then a tub rack would be a better investment. If you have the means and desire to keep up tanks and have a few snakes, then go with that.
