Cross your fingers!
I have to go back to the doctor, but for my back this time. It is pretty concerning, if the trainer is worried and sends you to the doctor.
We were playing king of the line, and I stepped up and faced the king, also one of my best friends. We got the signal and went at it, and we were pretty matched, but I tripped ansd stummbled backwards with him driving me, and My back bent at a spot in my spine, and it popped, and hurt like the ****ens! I now pop when I walk, and have horrible pains. So cross your fingures that nothing is seriously wrong!! First a concuttion, now this! I just love football!

Re: Cross your fingers!
There is 2 offensive linemen, and you try to drive each other back to a cone, or line....hence king of the line!

Re: Cross your fingers!
This would be the reason I'm glad my 16 year old hasn't any real interest in playing football and the 6 year old is small for his age so maybe football won't be in his future (please...no football...mamma's nerves are not so good!)
I hope you'll be fine. Listen to the doctors, your parents and your coach about recovery or whatever is needed. It's a game you love but your long term health is the more important issue at hand.
I went through this stuff with Kate when she nearly destroyed her left hand in girl's hockey (so much for non-contact...yeah right...it's hockey!). Hours of work by a top ortho surgeon and her first question is can he cast her hand in such a way that she can shove it back into her hockey glove! Geeze louise you kids, enough to drive us parents totally nuts and grey haired before our time.

Re: Cross your fingers!
I had a dislocated shoulder from making an arm tackle on a HUGE running back and after that it ended my baseball career and every time i ever made a tackle with that arm or hit someone with my shoulder on a stunt it killed....just hope it isn't the end and make sure you take the precautions like i didn't...i was too anxious and decided to pass on the shoulder and i lost numerous baseball scholarships due to it. Good luck with your back.
