dull areas on his head
Anyones BP ever get dull areas on its head? Like the shinny skin has come off. Its not dry spots. Not sores. The vet thought it may be where he rubs his head on the screen top, pushes at it to get out. Think so? Can I do something to heal?? the spots, how would I keep him from rubbing the screen??
I have been keeping the lamps on, and both the BP and the Corn are finally adjusting. Thanks for info! Be cold here soon...I hope, I am tired of the heat, but worried about my babies.

I had the same problem, take the top of the screen and put tin foil on the inside (itll also help with humidity )

Can't get our camera to take clear shots, tried with the eyes. The skin is fine, just like the 1st layer, the shinny skin is rubbed off. I will try the tin foil, but what about it blocking air? I worry about sufocating him in a glass enclosure.

Put him in a tub, your snake will love you for it!

Thanks, I am going to set up the foil this weekend. Get her snuggly warm for winter. I have thought about a tub like the other person suggested, not only did he pop the top on one I bought, I haven't the $$ right now to swap it all around. That saying that if not for bad luck I'd have no luck at all, I seem to be following it closely. However, I believe in silver linings!!! Thanks for the help.

Re: dull areas on his head
yeah tubs are deffinatly a good idea, lucky for me my parents offered to buy me a morph for xmas and then so did my girlfriend so I told my parents i'd like a cheap rack (http://www.animalplastics.com/Sterilite/EP.html)
I cant wait to get my snakes out of their tanks, plus multiple tanks in my room is taking up SO much space haha
so tubs are deffinatly the way to go as long as you dont mind the fact that they arent as visual. which I personally dont.

Did one of the scales come off? I know I have a rescue that is missing a scale or two on his head. He hasn't had any problems with it, but if that is the case and he rubbed it off on the screen, I'd definitely go with the foil top, or just skip that all together and move him to a tub!

Re: dull areas on his head
If it's what I'm thinking of, it's dry areas, which make it appear dull. It should go away at the next shed. Without pictures though, I can't confirm that what you're describing is the same thing that I'm thinking of. I believe you're talking about areas like on this handsome fella I recently picked up. It was gone at his next shed:
