Re: Feeding Question
It is generaly better to offer multiple small items than one larger one. I have yearling and adult corns that went from pinkies to 2 and 3 pinkies then fuzies and so forth.
So to answer your question, yes. I would offer 2 f/t hoppers next feeding. Then give maybe an extra day or two in between feedings to allow for proper digestion. At the next feeding, offer 2 again, but if your snake only wants one, don't become discouraged. Simply wait until the following feeding and try 2 again. If the snake just takes one, go back to just one hopper, but try decreasing the feeding interval (example; if you try 2 every 5 to 7 days, then have to switch back to one, try one every 4 to 6 days, until 2 are accepted regularly) This is of course a better feeding schedule for yearling or slightly younger snakes. As snakes mature, you can increase the feeding interval to once a week or even greater. I currently have a male amel corn that only eats every 10 to 14 days. One small rat or 2 large mice and he is happy. This snake is almost 4 years old though and just under 5 feet long.
That's my advice, hope it helps and good luck. Just remember...you have to try really hard and get really lucky to STARVE a snake. They will eat when they are hungry, so better to slightly under feed for a period of time than to over feed and cause health complications or decrease their lifespan.
