Aggressive baby

Hi again, my BP's about 1.5ft long and feeding. But as of late, around feeding time it get's really quite aggressive and often failing to grab the mouse i'm feeding it, it will go straight back to strike position and go for me. One time I'd put the lid back on and it attempted to get at me through the glass... What can I do to kerb this aggression/confusion before it gets big and painful

daily handling for about 5 minutes or so a day to get him used to you and one thing i read up on idk if its true but if you happen to get bit dont put the guy back right away because they'll feel like they got their way so keep them out for a little bit longer and do it again the next day and they will soon relize that your not going to harm them and sorry if this didnt help at all but im learning to

Are you feeding live or frozen/thawed? It sounds like you may be feeding frozen/thawed.


If so, how are you heating the prey? It's possible that you're giving off a stronger heat signature than the prey item. It's also not that he's aggressive, but has a great feed response, which I love to see in mine!

Also, are you using tongs to present the prey?

I was afraid it was that you know, because I'm using F/T my hand's giving off more heat... He is really fiesty anyway but yeah I'm hoping that I don't eventually get bit haha. Thanks for the feedback.

They usually calm down a lot as they get bigger. I actually look for the more feisty babies because I think they tend to be the best eaters.
