Different shedding problem..could use advice
Hey all, my BP was pink-bellied, gray-eyed before I made my 2 hour move back to school on Monday. He was about ready to shed when I had to drive up to school with him the car, new surroundings, same tank though. Anyway, since we got back he appears a little stressed and hasn't really attempted to remove his shed.
Question is, do I wait a few more days and see if he gets comfortable or should I help him with the container/washcloth idea. Thanks in advance

I'm sure your BP is going to be fine. They will shed on their own. If he was pink bellied and blue-eyed, he still probably has a day or two before he starts shedding. Usually 24hrs before they shed, they clear up and look almost normal. Even if they don't have a lot of rough spots in their enclosure, they can rub against themselves to help remove their skin.

When ball pythons shed their eyes become cloudy and the bellies are sometimes pink. That clears up for a couple days before the actual shed. It sounds like you just need to wait a couple days before your bp actually sheds.

Mine actually take 4 days average between going "opaque" and the actual shed.

Re: Different shedding problem..could use advice
Sorry I didn't mean to sound so noobish in the post, I was in a hurry to go out. I know exactly how he sheds and what all the signs mean, I've had him for over a year already, and by now he's usually out and about at night trying to remove his shed, but because of the trip, he's seemed stressed and hasn't left his hide in 4 days.
So you guys think I should just leave it until he gets comfortable with the enclosure again or should I help him out?
