    some more ?s

    i have a 50 55 gal aquarium as a cage man it has been driving me nutz lol but i think i have temps and humidity under control now..read the sticky about covering the top with tin foil and duck tape so did that have increased the size of the opening slowly and now is maintaining these temps 91 to 93 on hot side these stay at this day and night is this a problem? cool side goes from day time temp of 84 to 78 to 79 at night.. i have a large water dish that i have slowly moved toward hot side till humidity has stayed at 55 to 58&..have to hides and samson like to be in the hot side hide during day and coolside at night?.. he seems to be ok not stressed that ican tell i can handle him and he will just like have coil around hand and move up arm ect..he eats 2 f/t mice every friday..so every thing seems to be good just would like some comments if ios good or need to change some thing .. i use a reostat going to get thermostat in future..

    55 is a rather large enclosure, even for a full grown adult, and i assume you have a younger bp? well it sounds like the temps and humidity are good during the day, but not at night. do you have a heat light or any over head source that you turn off at night? i would get a red heat light or a ceramic heat element on a rheostat and leave it on 24/7, then hook your UTH to a thermostat, and the temps should stay up.

    thanks for info i will look at doing that.. i take it the hot side is ok at night? just the cool side need to come up?

    Yeah, your hot side is fine. And your cool side isn't in critical condition or anything...it'd just be better if you could stabilize those temps a bit. But overall, it sounds like you're doing pretty darn well for maintaining a 55gal tank. Keep it up!

    lol yea it has been an expierience ..but learning.great forum lots of help and knologable people that seem to be willing to help..been reading past posts ect and lots of advice there to
