    Unhappy Baby trying to escape

Hi, my baby ball python (about 1.5ft ish) is acting rather weird. Every day usually in the morning but sometimes all day it'll be moving around the tank and blatantly trying to get out of the top of the tank. Now I'm just wondering if that's normal as I've had it for only a couple of weeks. BUT he is feeding regularly and readily... Help?

Usually when they are that hyper it's related to something in their environment that's causing stress. I'd double check your temps on both ends of the enclosure, make sure both hides are dark, identical and very snug fitting, then have a look at where this snake lives in your home. They are very sensitive to a lot of commotion around them...loud bass music, lots of traffic, vibrations, etc. Sometimes a small adjustment in husbandry is all that's need to help the snake relax more.

Provided your husbandry is on point, he may just be hungry. My young BP was doing the same two days ago, I fed him a day early and he took his meal faster than ever(so far) then calmed right down.
