Re: Breeding brother/sister?
yea after i read my post it seems it's a little confusing.
i meant that with pastels you breed lemons to lemons and grazianis to grazianis to keep the lines nice and pure. to do this to breed siblings right? thats how i understood it.

Re: Breeding brother/sister?
LOL, I found another thread on her concerning this, and it was MUCH more confusing, with all the arguing going on...

Re: Breeding brother/sister?
Many of the morphs that we know today came to be by back breeding to parents or siblings.

Re: Breeding brother/sister?
The nature of the genetics beast is....do it exclusively or too many times and you'll bring the undesirable traits to the forefront, but one or two generations should be okay...then outcross to an unrelated animal.
My het albinos and my het pieds are sibs b/c they came sold as pairs. But for my boas, my het albinos will be totally unrelated as the male is from Jimi here and the female is (hopefully) from a breeder in TX.
Like Adam said...some traits are more squirrely but once or twice...PERSONALLY, I'd not do it more than twice.
