    blood after shed

    my bp seems to be bleeding from the tip of his tail a little after shedding

    will he be ok?

    should i do anything for him
    1 Normal ball python
    8 mice And at least seven 1 day old mice.
    3 hedgehogs
    2 rats one tan and one black hooded female
    2 dogs
    && 2 cats
    And the lovely boyfriend

    i've never experienced this but if it was me, i would probably put some kind of antibiotic ointment on it: bacitracin, hydrocortisone, etc.

    A few drops of blood seen at the vent area or on nearby bedding right at the time of shed isn't a problem. If it continues to bleed, looks nasty or in any way concerns you, then a call to your herp vet is a always a good idea.

    Did u try to pull it off the un shedded skin off yourself? A friend of tried that and thats what happened
