    I want some of your input...

    This will be my first year with breeding balls and I'm going to be limited in the number of females that I have ready. Males on the other hand, are abundant... Anyways, I was just wanting to see what you all think I should pair up within my group...

    I'll start with the females...

    booger - normal female

    fluffy - normal female (I didn't name this one...)

    rachel - wierd female

    and then the males...

    deeds - pastel male

    norton - 100% het pied male (I'm really planning to get a female pied this next year, so I'm not sure how important it is to try to get poss hets this year - but I want to hear what you think!)

    teddy - HOPEFULLY GENETIC reduced pattern male

    petunia - reduced pattern male

    bean - normal male

    and then I do have a mature male borneo short-tail... so maybe a shot at superballs??

    I have even more mature males, but these are my favorites, which I would consider "in the running" for my three girls... so who paired with who?? thanks for the help!! next year won't be so hard because then I'll have twice as many females ready...

    Hi,

    Just out of curiosity and hopefull pattern combo's I would go for;

    Deeds -> Rachel & Booger

    And

    Teddy -> Fluffy.

    But you know what you like best so follow your heart as well as your head.

    Just thinking, that if you wanted to go to superballs wouldnt you want to do it with a female blood and a male ball?

    I love your reduced. You should send him over promptly

    I was thinking about teddy and fluffy, too... I have another pretty cool reduced female that should be ready next year for him, but I think there could be some potential this year between those two...

    thanks!

    Re: I want some of your input...

    a superball would be pretty awesome so long as the offspring were delt with properly.

    i would probably choose the most reduced male you have ( i like the first shown) with your best/most reduced female. then i'd breed the pastel to the others. personally i wouldnt breed the pied, i'd take the money you make off any pastels & nice looking normals you don't hold back (that is unless you get horrible odds, lol) and pick up a homo or 100% pied female next year (no idea what you can/cant spend).

    those reduced males looked really nice. i would think, if not genetic, simply crossing your least patterned animals together would keep out alien heads etc..

    You have some nice animals and have received some pretty good input on some breeding pairings. Follow what you feel you should put together but have a back up plan as you may have some males that just don't feel up to do the deed.

    I wish I had known you had the adult male Borneo. I am actually looking to sell my adult female and was going to bring her to the show this past weekend.
