    Wedding Stress.. arrrgh!

Oh man it is the week before our wedding and I realllly need to just vent. We had to get our license and have been trying to for weeks now or at least to get to the town hall and ask what paperwork we needed.. they are NEVER open in this hick lazyass town. Always closing for just the day of the week we would go in..
So today we try to go there.. of course, not opened til noon which is the time I need to get to my work.. and Mark has to get to the city to finalize the stuff for the lodge we are renting..
Not to even mention we don't even have a photographer. One hangs up on me anytime I call, the other one never answers his phone. We might just have his sister take pics with my camera...
Please let me let this out... ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGH!

Been there. But remember no matter what happens, no matter what goes right or wrong at the end of the day. You and Mark will be married and thats all that really matters 50 years from now.

    Best of luck

Ease up on the stress. It's your day. You guys should enjoy it. Don't put so much emphasis on it that it's the most important day of your life. It's a celebration of the two of you loving each other and you should be loving every minute of it. Things don't have to work out perfectly.

Worst case scenario, just put some of those disposable cameras out and ask all of your family and friends to send you copies of their pictures. Like Ed said, the important thing is that you'll be married at the end of the day.

acctually that's a great idea! You could always get a professional photographer to photograph you guys, and then buy 20 or so disposable cameras out there for your guests to take pictures of themselves and you guys...

Thanks I am settling down. The biggest stresser now is Mark finding his birth certificate so we can get the license. Does anyone recently married know what you need to bring to get the license? My town hall is woefully inadequate and no one ever answers the phone if i call.. we are going there wednesday come hell or high water though.

It depends on your state. You can do a quick google search and should find the info you need. But it depends... When I married my ex, we did it in Tennessee. They practically throw marriage licenses at your it's so easy.

    Re: Wedding Stress.. arrrgh!

Heck in Michigan all we needed was to show any form of ID (birth cert, driver's licence, hell maybe your library card) and plunk down $12.00 and there you go. I still have the receipt for the license come to think of it (just in case I need to return Mike, they might insist on a receipt LOL). If he was married before take along his final decree just in case they require it.

Jen, just relax hon. Buy some disposable cameras, put little notes on them to please use then place in the bucket (decorate it pretty) on the way out. Bingo instant and fun pics. Have someone with a video cam go around gathering wedding well wishes (also fun video of how your Auntie Matilda dances with a snoot full of wedding wine...priceless stuff!) The details will kill you but try your best to remember this is your special day and it's about you and him hon, not if the tablecloths match or other silly stuff.

Also delegate anything you can to a trusted friend or family member.
