apology & question
I just wanted to say sorry to everyone that was trying to help me in another post. I was extremely rude and ungrateful for your help and i'm hoping everyone can forgive me.
Now i was wondering if anyone could tell me how to help zarrh get the rest of his shed off. Most of it came off, but his under belly shed stayed on. [I'm 98% sure this is what it is.] Half of his belly is a pinkish brown color [not scale rot] From the tip of his tail almost 1/2 way up.
What should i do?

Re: apology & question
Hello,
I am glad that you didn't decide to leave!!!!! There are many experienced people on here, and although their answers may be a little blunt sometimes, I have learned alot from being a member of this forum. They are all really just trying to help and do what is best for your snake!
Here is a link to the sticky about bad sheds.

Re: apology & question
Thank you for replying :] Your link worked wonderfully. I had seen that early but thats not what his shed problem is like.
His under belly is still pink like it usually gets before he sheds. But he has already shed except for his underbelly. As i said before im 98 % postive this is what the problem is, if you can think of something else it may be let me know. Or if anyone knows a solution to my problem.

Re: apology & question
Hi,
Yup they can be tricky lil boogers to photograph at times but it really would help if we could see his belly as pink and brown doesn't sound all that normal. Is there anyone who could try and hold him still for you to get the belly pic?

Re: apology & question
Have you ever seen a ball pythons stomach before a shed? When its white stomach turns a light pinkish color? Thats what it looks like

my snake gets a pink belly (and a baaad attitude) when he's shedding & just before. honestly since the stuck shed is not constricting around the body and he does not seem to be hindered by it, if it doesnt all come off by soaking or running him through a warm wet rag, it will come off in his next shed- so long as the temps and such are right. to insure crowley's first shed with my boyfriend and me, we put a smaller tuboware box in his cage with a damp paper towel close to shedding time. he'd crawl into that and it worked wonders
(his previous owner had him too dry and he NEVER had a good shed)

Thats strange. Usually the belly comes off the easiest. Are you sure that its old skin? Either try the soaking method stated earlier or wait until next time.
