Pet store!
Well I went with my mom to a petstore here in West Valley City, Utah. The name of the store is Pets N Such. It was sad, Baby ball pythons where in cages with 3 or more other ball pythons, They where all on top of eachother, It was just sad, Then went to Petsmart and read there care sheet sorta thing on the ball python cage and said warm side 80-85 and evening temp no lower then 75. I was shocked. To bad I didnt have money to get one of those guys out of there, But my first check had to go to car insurance, 170 Dollars for me in Utah, Maybe since I am 16 I should of took some pics for you guys, Maybe I will go there later this week and take a pics if you guys would like.
Thanks Mike

Re: Pet store!
It may sound like a good idea to do a pet store rescue, but really you're just supporting their business and paying their incredibly high markups, not to mention possibly introducing disease into your collection. I've been to several pet stores and felt a desperate urge to take a poor little guy in, but it's just not worth it.

Re: Pet store!
Glad to hear that you didn't "rescue" the animals. For as sad and sickening as it is to see animals in that condition, it's nothing but a trap. They're not going to change the way they house and care for their animals and every one that is "rescued" will be one more reason to not only continue selling them, but to bring in larger quantites of them.
It's a gimic to make money, pure and simple.

Re: Pet store!
Well I went to 2 pet stores today. One was pets supplies and critters here in utah they had a dead baby ball python, Then another one was in shed but had a bad shed still had shedding over its body. He got onto there lock and was trying to get it off then fell off and just laid there still breathing, Then we went back to Pets n Such, The same store, Couldnt see any ball pythons they where on the top shelf. I got a few question for you guys. They really cant feed the snakes in the same cage because how do they know if 1 snake ate twice and one didnt eat or do they just guess and hope they all ate? And another question. Couldnt you turn pet stores in for the care there animals in? Because at Pets supplies and Critters they had a boxer there that had no water and was liking his cage for whatever, But maybe someone knows who to call for that. To bad alot of people are out there for the quick buck, Only if they would take the time and little money to do it right.
Thanks Mike.
