    Shedding Question

I though 'Rebel' was about to shed cause her eyes turned a blue color and she started to become dull. I looked at her today her eyes are not really blue colored anymore and she looks shiny. I looked threw her tank for her shed but didn't find anything. So is there a problem?

    Re: Shedding Question

That's just part of the normal process. Their eyes will clear up and then they will shed a couple days later. Just bump the humidity and leave her alone until she's finished.

    Re: Shedding Question

Thank You. I just wanted to make sure cause her last shed I really didn't know there eyes cleared up. Also another question for anyone who might know this answer. My cousin has this stuff in a green spray bottle I forgot what its called but he uses it on his snake while she is shedding to help her out a little bit. On the bottle it says it has Vit B in it and use it every day and spray from the neck down. So I was woundering if this was safe to use. My BP's last shed didn't go so well and hopefully this one will work out smooth.

    Re: Shedding Question

It's probably safe to use, but it's also unnecessary. Increased humidity or a humid hide is all that is needed. If your snake does have a bad shed, just soak her for 20 minutes in lukewarm water and gently rub the shed off.

Oh, and here's a link that describes the entire shedding process. The cleared up eyes do confuse a lot of people and that's probably why some people believe their snake eats its shed.
