    AlbinoXFireball???

I have purchased two 100% Het Albinos and when i get my first Albino Male, i would like to breed him with my Fireball, but i'd like to know if this has been done before, or if anyone may have photos of the off spring. Or if anyone has heard what we would get...

    Thanks

    Re: AlbinoXFireball???

well you would make albinos that would be het for black eyed lucys. you would then need a male from the clutch and breed back to the fireball, to get albino black eyed lucys. sounds interesting, don't know if anyone has done it.

where did you get your fireball from?

    Re: AlbinoXFireball???

Conner Davey has some fires het albino right now that I know of.

The belief is that the final result would be a solid white snake with red eyes instead of black.

    Re: AlbinoXFireball???

fireballs are het for black eyed leucistic, and if bred to an albino i can see that being produced. sounds pretty sweet. i would just make sure you have a fireball cause investing all that time and work to find out it's not what it was said to be.

i don't mean to be rude or offensive, but did you buy your fireball from a reputable breeder?

    Re: AlbinoXFireball???

It looks like it is i purchased it from a friend who had no idea, he said he claimed an egg from a friend before it hatched, and he got what he got. So i would like to prove her, but i really, don't know.

From some of the other photos that i have seen, she has alot of the bright colors, like fireballs, and i don't think this is a fireball markings, but she has 3 sets of flames on her sides. But i don't know how else to prove her, other than breed her with something, that will make something very obvious.

Also HAS anyone tried this, and actually got a Lucy, with RED eyes? I want to know if this has been done, or will i be the first to attempt this one?

If someone can explain some more ways to tell it would be much appreciated... also looking at some of the fireballs from.... http://www.boabarn.com/site/ItemID__...1/default.aspx they all look like they have the Heart on there head like she does, when i get a chance i will post some pictures of her, but she is begining her shed, so it maybe a day or two.... sorry for not having the pics now!

    Re: AlbinoXFireball???

As far as I know, nobody has produced a leucistic with red eyes in ball pythons. People have done it with leucistics of different species, there have been red eyed leucistic texas ratsnakes for years. I think it's likely that ball pythons would work out the same way.

But, since it doesn't sound like she's from a proven line, the first thing you'd want to do is hold back a bright colored male that looks like her (in fact probably hold back the entire clutch, since you can never tell which ones will grow the fastest or breed the earliest) and breed one of her sons back to her as soon as possible so you can prove or disprove if she's really a fireball.

If it were me, I'd definatly breed an albino to her. Once you do prove whether or not she's actually a fireball, you'll be just that much further along towards producing your own red eyed leucistics.

    Re: AlbinoXFireball???

Have you seen the pastel fires?

Seems to me like albino might be a little wasted on a leucistic as all it would be expected to do is change the eye color. And I would like the black eyes better anyway. But of course tastes vary.

I also have an unproven girl with some fire-like tendencies. She is probably nothing but after seeing the pastel fires I started looking for a pastel male just in case. A local pet store has an about 600 gram pastel male for $175. I'm no pastel expert but he really looks nice to me. They say they have some paperwork so I'm interested in seeing if he is one of the lemon lines, not that I’m sure it really makes any difference. Now if I can just get them to take 7 normal males in trade, lol.
