Multiple Morph Dads, to a normal female....combos?

Me and Ben were chatting last night and we were talking about some combos we wanted to make, that haven't bin made before. We got on the subject of multiple dads to a normal female. He said the sperms can mix, and I said they couldn't. So I am wondering, who is right? lol. Like a spider and pastel breed to a normal female, would you get bees? Or not. Please solve our question.

I don't know but it doesn't seem likely. I know twins can happen, but how the hell would sperm be able to mix together that way? It doesn't make sense.

The embryo splits, after its been fertilized, to make twins.

But can 2 different sperm combine, to make one?

I am pretty sure that is not possible, although crazy thing have happened in the world of genetics...

Only one sperm per baby produced. If on the off chance that two sperm did make it into the egg at the exact same moment (very highly unlikely), there would be too many chromosomes inside, 3n instead of 2n, and the egg would not survive. There can be multiple fertilized eggs inside one shell though; fraternal twins sharing the same eggshell.

I have heard of multiple Dads fertilizing the same clutch but not the same egg. I would think the two different sprem would have to fertilize simultaneously, very unlikely but I guess somewhat possible?

if that normal female were to pop out some eggs it could happen that spiders and maybe a pastel were produced. kind of like in this thread: http://www.ball-pythons.net/forums/s...ad.php?t=51309

but the spider sperm and pastel sperm couldn't swap genes before fertilizing, or anything like that.

Why, when I read this forum subject, did I suddenly hear Maury Povich's voice say "You... are NOT the father!"

How is it that Maury went from a legit talk show to the jerry-springer crap he does now?
