Average Cost for a Male Pastel?
Hey guys...
I have a normal ball right now. In a couple months I would like to add another snake. I like the way pastels look, and they seem to be a little on the less costly side of the morph's i've seen.
I was wondering what an average fair price for male pastel should be, and where I can get one at that reasonable price. I'm not looking for anything big, a baby is preferred. I also dont care about the genetics, I'm not going to breed or anaything so the het hom dom codom stuff is not in my vocabulary.
Thanks for the help..

$150-$200 is a normal rate for a male pastel now....there are diffrent lines some stay brighter through out their life and some "brown out" so its all up to waht you want

if you cant afford to take care of it, dont get it

Don't go for the cheapest you can buy... I got mine from 8ballpythons and he's gorgeous. A little more than what they go for on kingsnake, but definetly worth it.

Pastels are graded. You'll pay more depending on the particular lineage of the snake. Expect to pay anywhere from $100-$225.

i paid $350 for mine last Oct. but hes the brightest one i have ever seen because he has little blushing so the contrast of black and bright yellow is more extream. i do love the high blush on some and will soon be in the market for a high blush female

if you cant afford to take care of it, dont get it

Re: Average Cost for a Male Pastel?
With the market being the way it is, shop the pastel and not the price. Look for a pastel that jumps out at you and one you'll be happy to watch grow up. Keep in mind that lots of lines brown out with age so you need balance out what exactly it is about the pastels that make you happy. Is it the contrast and bright colors of a lemon line pastel or the intense fading and blushing of a graziani line pastel. All some things you should consider when purchasing a pastel.
