that's absolutely ridiculous! the cop didn't even admit it??? how is that going to give people faith in their local law enforcement? i don't see a valid reason for him to be shooting at the snake in the first place. the whole situation is so wrong in so many ways!

Ya it's already been posted. A lot of the farmers here in Oklahoma like to shoot at wild snakes that live near/in their ponds because some horses and cattle will refuse to drink from them if they see them there. Then again, that's only with farmers who live over a mile away from their neighbors, and who are not shooting up in the air.
It's terribly sad that this happened, and it all could have been provented if people used their heads and sent the proper authorities out to investigate/remove the snake in the first place.
