Yup, it's me again

I just finished feeding Nagini (she took it right away this time), and cleaning her cage as she ate, as usual. This time, I treated her cage with PAM. I followed the instructions, but wanted to ask here: how dry is dry?? I left the lid off, opened the window, and the fan was going nearby so there was good ventilation, and I felt the hides branches and plants and they were all dry, but the substrate is cypress and that stuff doesn't fully dry for a while. I put her and her clean water dish back in when I felt the other stuff was all dry, was that ok??? I don't want to risk hurting her...

when using PAM dry really means dry! if you're treating a mite problem i would use paper until it's solved. if not make sure everything is completety dry. it can and will harm your snake if used incorrectly.

Hmm.. I was treating the cage just in case, cause I saw a strange black bug on her the other day (after looking at pics and descriptions, I'm pretty sure it was way too big to be a mite, but I treated all the same). Because I haven't seen any other traces of bugs, I put her cypress back in without thinking that it would hold the darn stuff... damn. I really hope it doesn't hurt her...

Darn, too late for an edit

I just walked in to check on her and caught her slithering enthusiastically from cool side to warm side. She didn't seem upset, just cruising along as usual. Also, I sniffed at the vent in the screen covering and only barely smelled the PAM smell, mostly it smelled like warm cypress. I'm hoping, therefore, that all is well.

Oh thank God. I wasn't familiar with that ackronym. But then I thought...hmm..butter flavored or normal?
