BP Climbing???

Well...grow up a whole bunch of BPs in enclosures large enough to support secure climbing "toys" for their whole lives...and then let us know the results!

I think most larger BP's tend to stay low. But I have seen 2 adults that was very active. But they did not climb on any kinds of limbs or anything. When I started raising snakes I asked this very same question. I was told that it is harder for a larger snake to keep there balance on a limb vs a smaller, lighter and shorter bp.
Imagine a large snake trying to climb a branch stretched out. He will most likely try to climb it with his body all bunched up. Which would help with balance. At the same time makeing it feel unsafe.
My larger snakes will only climb onto the couch. And then they go down from there. and its no fun getting them out.

My bps take advantage of their branches. Its not a necessity for their care but they will climb them. I will often see mine on the branch under the heat source. Just make sure they are secure and they can't be "squished" by the branch. Its pretty cool to see your bp stretched out on the limb.
