    aggressive baby?

well i brought my snake to a local breeder to have my snake sexed and its a male..well he had two baby girls so i picked one up but she happens to be the most aggressive out of all his baby's. he picked her up and wouldn't stop snapping at him.. so i brought her home and put her in her tub and she went into her hide..so yesterday i tried putting a temp probe in her hide and he snapped at it..it scared the crap out of me lol.. Is an aggressive baby a healthy one?

    Re: aggressive baby?

Lol. its completly normal. My babie is only a month old, one day I was putting him back in his tub and he felt cornered so he S-uped and striked like twice at me. I thought it was so cute. You have to think about it, look how small that baby is, compared to you. Right now when you hold him sometimes you can feel there little hearts beating like a horse race. Poor little guy, with enough handling and attention he'll be alright.

Also I noticed you just purchased the pair. Give them atleast a week before handling or any food attempts. They need to get used to there enclosure and feel at home. Then try feeding, then handling attempts. Goodluck with the little guy, there so cute as babies

Aggression is not caused by "being mean" as some people think. "They bite out of excessive fear. Mean has no place in the animal kingdom" Kevin McCurly. Some grow accustom to being handled some don't. This is based on the animal. If you like the animal and wish to keep it then work with it. It makes the first time you can handle it with out a bite so much more rewarding.
