Hi all,
well after five weeks of owning our baby ball python she finally had her first shed with us...i tried my best to keep the humidity from 65-70 but it would hover from 58-63 . Anyway two and a half days ago her head peice popped off and she managed to get maybe an inch or two off of her neck, but that was it.
After a quick search in these forums i decided to give her a warm (not to warm) soak, and let her crawl around and inbetween a damp towl and it worked like a charm! I only had one concern...after she finished crawling out of her old skin, i picked her up to put her back in her enclosure and noticed there was a little bit of blood just around the ventIt was just a tiny little bit, it didn't appear that there was any damage done to the vent area that i could see, and it's not even like it kept bleeding, there was just that tiny little bit and when ishe was cleaned off there was no more.
I was just wondering if this was any cause for concern or is this something that happens ocassionally
Thanks in advance for any replies
Jason
P.S. sorry about the long post
