With something that size I wouldnt worry, and hopefully once he moves up to larger prey, if you're still feeding live, he'll be smart enough to strangle it first so it wont bite back!
Oh I've never had a problem with him not constricting his food before. I would guess that he didn't this time since the fuzzy was small and did not make any real noticeable fuss, but who knows
