    Question Pastels...

I have been doing some searching on pastels...and well I need some help from the more experienced people on here.

This might be a little much to ask. But I would like to know every known line of pastel and if one is available..a website for them.

Also which ones "brown out" and which keep their color.

Ones I have found so far...(these I would like to know about brown out factor as well)

I can't wait till the F.I.R.Expo so I can learn...I have never really seen any morphs in person so all I can go buy is pictures on sites.

    Graziani Pastel
    Nerd Lemon Pastel
    Enchi Pastel
    Roussi Zebra Pastel
Matrix Blonde Pastel (can't find a site)
Bell Pastel (can't find a site)

http://www.nextworldexotics.com/hgpas.htm helped a little but didnt answer all my questions.

    Oo! Oo! Here's my boy!
The Reverend. [no idea what line, just like showing off] He seems to be browning out as we go.Actually he is considerably darker than when we first got him. It's only been a few months too...

    Re: Pastels...

Here's my lemon pastel. When choosing a pastel, remember that orange turns brown, so you want to find one with as little orange as possible as a baby. I've also been told to look for the lightest head possible as well.

    Re: Pastels...

Here are some of my pastels
    Nerd lemon

    Graziani

    Matrix blonde

    No name line lemon

    Another no name line lemon

In my opinion the lines aren't as important as the individual snake itself. In person my blonde is the brightest yellow with less brown to yellow ratio but all pastels will brown out, just some more than others. Hope this helps.

    Re: Pastels...

Enchi's are different than pastels, and the prices shows it.
Lines dont matter except the deserts and stuff. I have a graziani and perfer those.

Do all Graziani Pastels get lighter with age?

    Re: Pastels...

I really cant answer that from experience , he is my first pastel I have owned. The main thing about Graziani Pastels are there blushing , thats supposed to be there best point . I think I am lucky with this one tho ' ,he is very bright on the sides, only ' darkening ' when he is in slough. At the end of the day , look at as many as you can and go with what you like . I reckon some will fade and some wont , probs applies to all morphs ...depends on the quality of the genes ( IMHO ) , this is where Line Breeding ( to enhance a trait ) would play a major part. HTH

No. Most brown out like other pastel lines. I really love my matrix line blond pastels and NERD lemon pastels because they are so amazing as babies. But even these brown out to a degree.

    I agree!

Here's one of my blond pastels I produced last year.
