Yes, the greenery can make it look "pretty"...but the snake doesn't care how it looks...it just wants to feel secure. And every unnecessary change to its environment is a step backwards.
While I agree that keeping the snake as stress free is vital, adding some foliage and plants could possibly help it feel more secure by providing additional hides under leaves and providing more cover. Just a thought...
