how to solve immigration and gas problems

A friend of mine posted this on another forum. I don't know if he made it up or not.

Bush wants us to cut the amount of gas we use.
The best way to stop using so much gas is to deport 11 million illegal
    immigrants!
That would be 11 million less people using our gas. The price of gas
    would come down.
Bring our troops home from Iraq to guard the border.
When they catch an illegal immigrant crossing the border, hand him a
canteen, rifle and some ammo and ship him to Iraq .
Tell him if he wants to come to America then he must serve a tour in
the military. Give him a soldier's pay while he's there and tax him on
it. After his tour, he will be allowed to become a citizen since he
    defended this country.
He will also be registered to be taxed and be a legal patriot.
This option will probably deter illegal immigration and provide a
solution for the troops in Iraq and the aliens trying to make a better life
    for themselves.
If they refuse to serve, ship them to Iraq anyway, with out the
canteen, rifle or ammo. Problem solved.

    I love it !!!!

Seems simple enough! We need to do that to criminals too instead of jail time for nonviolent offenders make them go to boot camp and serve thats a better payment for a debt to society than free food, gym and education (of course gang rape is a down side) in stead of 15 years in jail give them 15 year in the Marine Corp or SEALS .

ha it was also suggested on the other forum that we just not deport the 11M and just ship em straight to iraq.

Our military would be completely useless and a joke to the world if we did any of that.

Re: how to solve immigration and gas problems

I have personally been involved in building the border along mexico, been right there building the damn wall.

The immigration problem is huge. And without an ounce of racism affecting my opinion on this. Deportations need to be dramatically increased, more needs to be done.

The number is closer to 15 million last I heard. Mexico loses more people to immigration to america than they do by death every year. And our president wants to simply hand over citizenship. Sorry bud, our fathers and grandfathers have fought and died for this. You can't just illegally cross into this country and expect to be a citizen because you believe you deserve it. It is amazing the bs that goes on. Boder patrol does their best but they dont have the man power or money to even make a dent. In the one town I was working on the border for, they would catch 300 a night, thats just who they caught. This is an issue that really gets to me, but it's just going to get worse.

I love going to mcdonalds in america and being spoken to in spanish when I'm a soldier for this country.

Re: how to solve immigration and gas problems

I just moved to Orlando and I hear more foreign languages then I do English, and I thought it was bad back in KY. I'm personally tired of everyone thinking since we are the US we should except everyone into this country because we dont hold prejudice towards anyone. And yes, I know back in the day our founding fathers were immigrants themselves, but they started a new country, think they are a little better then these people who are sneaking over illegally filling up our jails and hospitals. Our tax dollars are going to half these people on welfare, I work my ass off for my money, just to hand it over to people who don't do a darn thing...I need to stop, this topic gets me heated.

Sadly enough they have already been made both by the current administration.

True, we're actually very very vulnerable right now. It is incredibly easy to get into the country and the national guard is very weak because they are in iraq. We've literally created more of a danger to ourselves by being in iraq. We haven't made the possibility of a terrorist attack on our soil much more difficult.

If another war goes on in another country the possibility of the draft being brought back is very good.
