For a beginner herper I would say that their requirements can be quite overwhelming, lol. But if you've kept your fair share of reptiles, then they shouldn't be a problem. They do require high humidity, and temp ranges from 85-90 in the basking area, while the ambient air temps can be anywhere in the 80's, and at night it can drop down to the 70's. Here in the spring time and early summer I move his cage outside in a partally shaded area to get some natural sun, and here in Oklahoma we get pretty high humidity at this time of year. Indoors, I have to spray him down at least 3 times a day.
