    Plans for Morag

Morag is one of our female 05's. She's so different from the other females that Mike and I have been really struggling with plans for her when she's mature. We'd like your combined wisdom about what would be some pairings that would utilize Morag's really dark look (she has little to no yellow and very little white). She has no flames to speak of but some very lovely blushing. I've included a closeup of her face, her eye stripe is so much more mocha colored than the more commonly yellow or gold ones on our other females. So any ideas folks?

These were taken today, she just shed yesterday....

    Closeup of her face....

Just for comparison, this one was taken when she was younger....

Jo...what are the options? (what male breeders do you have or will be getting)?

My quick thoughts would be a cinnamon. The flames from a cinny and the blushing and cool pattern from her would look killer on a cinny.

Right now we'll be going into this season with a 100% het for Albino, a YellowBelly and a possible Het VPI Axanthic but Morag won't be ready until 08 anyways. That's why we are doing the planning and thinking now to make sure we have the right male for her by then.

    Morag!!!!!

I think a Cinnie would be very nice with her too. Hmmmm....thinking.....maybe even a pastel, with her blushing.

It's so great to see her and how she's growing, she looks AWESOME! How much does she weigh now?

I vote Mojave! My favorite Mos are the high contrast ones.... Very black with bright yellow! I've also been told that Spiders cross well with ones that have slim to no "alien eyes".... Like you hoooot girl there!
Grey Scale is a good thing...

She's a nice solid 900 grams now Robin. She went a bit off feed during the transition from mice to rats but she's back on track now and happily snarfing down her rattie dinner each week.

i'd go with either a black pastel or an axanthic male (or your het). i think a nice dark, black pastel with lots of blushing is super hot and a reduced, high blushing axanthic is killer!

I think she would look cool as an albino.

Sullivan? He's probably getting one female this coming season, but Morag would definitely be a nice candidate for awesome looking normals.
