    Pastel color

So I was just checking out the boas in the store today a little closer than usual, and usually in pictures ive seen online I cant even hardly tell the difference between a pastel boa and a normal, but today i could see that they had a pinker color to them that was noticeable. So im just curious how they hold that pinkish color with age. Is there generally a noticeable difference in colors as they age? Im sure it depends on the particular snake and how good of a pastel it is to begin with but im just curious whether they will keep a cleaner pinkish look to them over time compared to a normal colombian. Just trying to figure out if the extra $150 or so it costs is really worth it in the long run.

pastel boas are relly hard to pin down. as you see normals online being sold as pastels. but a real nice pastel should have a relly nice light color with a lot of pinks on the sides. and yes most keep there color their hole life.

    Re: Pastel color

Ya, Im not surprised to hear that some normals are sold as pastels because ive seen pictures of "pastels" for sale and there isnt any real noticeable differences in some of their pictures than any of the normals ive seen. The differences in a pastel boa to a normal boa dont seem as drastic as the differences between a normal BP and a pastel BP. Are there any signs that I should be looking for to tell a true pastel from a normal when im looking? Like with BP morphs there are other things to look for other than color so im just curious.
