    Im Sorry in advance but...

Im sure this gets asked often, but I am interested in breeding Boas and have a few questions in the gentics department. What genes are, what dose the local have to do with the genetic make up,(in morphs). I have been keeping and breeding balls for a few years (just sarted working with Bloods too) and Im not new keeping herps at all. It's just that I have never dabbled in Red tails. So if any one has some answers or a good book on the subject i would be thankful.

Re: Im Sorry in advance but...

locale is just where they're from. my bluefields for example, they're from the town of bluefields, but it's still nicaragua. the big differences are between the subspecies, like Bci, Bcc, Bco, Bca, Bcs etc. They'll all interbreed, but personally i'd rather keep my subspecies separate. Do a seach on boa genetics or get a good boa book (vin russo just wrote a great one), what you're asking is rather in depth, and while I could answer it, it would by far be easier to read an explanation written towards a breeder. After my sitting through genetics classes i wouldn't subject you to that. If you understand ball genetics boas will be a breeze for the most part.
