    Full shed except head?!

Hi everyone, this is my first time posting on these forums, I have been reading through all the different sections for a few weeks now and decided to post my first question!

Basically I have a 3/4 month old baby ball, he has just had his first shed with me, however he is yet to shed the part on his head. Obviously I cant touch his head very easily due him being a BP and them hating you touching their head.

Does anyone have any suggestions to how I can encourage her to remove it herself? or how I may be able to assist her without stressing her out to much?

    Thanks alot!

    Tobias

Welcome to BPNet Tobias. You could soak her but likely the easiest way to get it off her head is to dampen a small pillowcase and pop her in. Close it tight with an elastic band or a knot, place the entire thing back in her enclosure on the warm side and let her wiggle around for a bit. She's not likely going to enjoy this terribly much but it should help that stuck shed come off her head.

My girl had the same problem during her first shed.
The skin around her jaw hadnt become loose at all. After 2 nice soaks, I used a humid hide.
I dont think my humidty was bumped up quite enough.

Good luck - I know how worrying it is!!!
