    Okay so I just witnessed..

Something totally hilarious. I go upstairs with all the crestie dishes, mist their cages put the food in, pick up poo, close the cages. Go to check Houdini, and feed the baby leo. I hear this THUNK, so I look over and Slurp (the new crestie) is at the side of the tank on the hammock with those HUGE hunting eyes they get, Crestie keepers will know what I am talking about.

So I am thinking what the heck is he doing, I watch for a second, I see droplets of water running down the tank wall. Then BOOM. He strikes the water running down the side, I was laughing so hard. He just kept doing it, I tried to get video but didn't get to the camera in time.

So Yeah, Cresties apparently like to hunt water droplets lol. So I dropped in a few crickets and he went absolutely bonkers.

Just had to share my interesing experience.

heh.. that sounds cute to watch. Cant wait to get a crestie or two myself, but that will have to wait a bit until after I get my BP's. But keep these cute stories coming.

Re: Okay so I just witnessed..

Well here's one for you LOL...

I woke up the other morning at the ungodly hour of 4 a.m. (btw the ONLY reason to be up at that time of the morning as far as I'm concerned is giving birth or going fishing!!! anyways....) Thunderstorms were raging and I figured I wasn't getting back to sleep so I wander half-asleep to put on my beloved morning coffee. Fast forward a few moments I'm happily sipping hot, milky sweet coffee wandering around my quiet home and I decide to say good morning to Sprocket, my male Crestie.

Well Sprocket sure said good morning to me! Apparently this is Sprockets "private time" to wash his best bits!

I think next time I'm up super early I'll just enjoy my coffee and pass on the crestie peep show, thanks so much.

P.S. Of course I immediately pm'd Emily, our resident Crestie expert, to make sure everything was okay with Sprocket since he's never done this before (or at least not in front of my rather surprised eyes!). So how hard did you laugh at me Em? LOL

Oh my, I totally agree with that statement there. I even waited untill 6:30am and 5am to go into labor with my kids lol.

I caught Partial (crestie without the tail) licking his junk today. Then he looks up at me like he was proud of himself lol. I just walked away.

I think I have gotten more giggles out of my cresties than any other reptile's I have kept.
