"Magic Wings" Butterfly Conservatory Pictures!
Yesterday, Brian and I went to "Magic Wings" in Deerfield, MA. It's a butterfly conservatory/indoor garden place. There were THOUSANDS of butterflies, fluttering around everywhere. With water running in the background, soothing music, beautiful flowers and thousands of butterflies all over it really DID feel like magic. It's hard to describe it. In addition to the gorgeous butterflies, they had a few reptiles (chameleon, dart frogs, tortoise, bearded dragons...), button quail running loose in the conservatory, finches and Koi in a little pond. I have to credit Brian with most of the pictures--with the exception of the ones of him. The butterflies liked him WAY more than they liked me. He had a few land on him several times. Without further ado--the pictures!
The beardie (there were two--a male and female, and in my opinion, their enclosure was too small):

A couple of the dart frogs--they had a few different varieties:

Button quail! There were babies in an enclosure in a seperate room--pairs were for sale and I SO wanted to take some home--SO cute.:

Blue Morpho Butterflies (one of them is on Brian's shoulder)--the prettiest in my opinion:

And lastly--my boy with a very pretty butterfly on his shoulder

I liked the photos, too--Brian has this really NICE camera. I really liked the Blue Morphos--but all the butterflies we saw were just stunning. They even had this butterfly "nursery", where you could see the butterflies in their chrysalises and some had already emerged.
If I ever get married, Magic Wings does weddings...

It's totally worth the drive up to Deerfield! They even have a restaurant on site called "Monarchs" if you want to do a more formal meal, or they have a little cafe-style place inside with decent food at decent prices. They're open 7-days a week! http://www.magicwings.com/ <----their website

Don't forget to hit the Yankee Candle company too, it isn't too far from there, and that place is incredible. I've been to the butterfly place a couple times, and actually bought some milkweed from them last time I was there and have it planted in my hummingbird/butterfly garden. They also added on a whole new section a year or two ago so it is pretty big.
