    Re: My snake gets lumpy!?!

Nah I'm not really worried. I'm generally over the worry-wart new parent phase. (I swear!!)

I am watering and feeding him correctly and my husbandry is the best in the land LOL

I can buy the lanky teenager theory. He's growing really fast - I need to take new pictures. I was feeding him one jumbo mouse per week but I've switched to two small adults. He's probably approaching 2.5' in length and maybe 1.5" in thickness. Is there some way to guage by looking at the snake if he's at the right weight?

Uhhha we beleive you when you say your over the "worry-wart" stage .Its very hard to say exactly how much a snake "should" weigh as each and every snake grows differantly. If he is sheding at least once every 4 to 6 weeks on average then he is well fed.If you can buy a scale and keep track on his weight on index cards. You can buy one from walmart in the houseware dept.
