Sterilizing Bamboo?
I got a bunch of bamboo for my cresties. Just wondering how I should go about sterilizing it for use? Should I scrub it down with soap and water then let it dry out? Or bake it? If so what temp and how long? Its fairly clean, just a little dusty.

for the dust a warm towel. then you can bake at 250 for 15 mins, that should kill any creepy crawlers.

Yep, I'd go with the baking. Dusting works, but you never know what might be in it.

i use bamboo in a lot of my crested cages. after i cleaned it i coated it with several coats of water based polyurethane. this keeps it from absorbing anything and makes it super easy to clean.

Re: Sterilizing Bamboo?
Thanks everyone, I got a bunch of pieces cut up and will wash them and bake them. I am getting another 20 gallon long tank to turn upright from my mom, I traded my 40 gallon for it. She has two rats that are about the size of a small house cat. I can't wait to get them all set up from their small exo terras. I will post pics when I am done.
