Humidity too high
Hi, I am setting up an enclosure for a pastel female that I am getting in a week. Can't wait! So the enclosure is all set up in a rubbermaid tub. The temps are perfect but the humidity is too high at 78%. The humidity in my room is about 50%. I have drilled alot of holes in the tub so far. Should I drill holes in the top of the tub too? Also anything else I can do to lower humidity? What is the highest the humidity should be constantly? 65%?

Re: Humidity too high
drill/melt a couple more holes in the sides.

Re: Humidity too high
How big should they be? The ones I have been making are 5/32 or 1/8.

I just use a soldering iron so 1/8 to 1/4" is good

I would recommend 1/4"
Also, what type of substrate are you using? Depending could also be increasing your humidity.

No news paper is what I use. Might just add holes or increase the size. do it little by little so you want be loosing to mu humidity. Drill a couple and test it for a day. Repeat if needed.
Hope this helps

Re: Humidity too high
If you can place a fan nearby to help circulate the air around the tub, that can help a lot, too.

So I drilled more hoels and the humidity is down to 65%. Should I drill more holes or is this fine?
