Also, I don't trust pet store snakes much at all. This little pet store is the best in my area, and I wasn't planning on purchasing a snake from them in any case. That's why I said I was planning to purchase from a breeder, just wasn't sure when I wanted to.I had just gone into that pet store to get yogurt chips for my rabbit and rats and I was curious, so I walked over to the reptiles and saw the mites. I got SO freaked out that I may bring them home to my collection. Then I realized I'd never pretreated any new snakes for mites, just always did quarantine/vet check. I mean, yes, we could've caught them, but the thought of me not having done anything in advance to protect my current collection against mites horrified me. I still feel like a terrible snake mom.
