Good idea about a hurricane plan. We're making sure we have tubs with lids for all our snakes so we can move them if need be. I know the shelters around here won't accept them though. Maybe staying in a hotel would be an idea if they didn't know what you had in the tubs. I'm not real concerned about loss of electricity for the balls, since they'd love the heat and humidity. We did purchase a generator for the incubator . . . .


I doubt we'd evacuate, simply because we have so make balls (100 including hatchlings), eggs incubating and dogs (5). But, we're in Central Florida and not along the coast so I feel safer staying at home.

I think it would be smart if we could form an evacuation buddy system so those with balls that have to evaucuate could bring them to someone they trust to keep them who knows what to do with a ball python.

Any other ideas?
