when should i start feeding my bp more?

my bp is just a baby, i've had him for almost 3 months and i believe he's just a couple weeks older than that. i've been feeding him 1 hopper every monday, although i decided to try and feed him 2 the other week. he ate both of them fine so now im wondering if i should be feeding him 2 hoppers instead of 1?? or should i just feed him a normal mouse? any suggestions?

A 3 month old BP should be able to eat an adult mouse easily.

A good method for determining prey size is to hold your bp and put your fingers around the largest part of his belly. The circle your finger makes should be the approximate size of his prey item. I stop at a small rat (as the largest prey item), even though you'll fine females that are bigger around than that. Seems that compliments their needs just fine.

For reference here's a great chart:

At 3 months I'm typically feeding a Rat Fuzzie or Pup, which is about the equivalent to an Adult Mouse.

Re: when should i start feeding my bp more?

I think my male is about 8 or 9 months old - he's a bit over two feet long. I've started feeding him XL mice last two feeds. I had been feeding him small to med sized adults since I got him at 5 mos. I started ratcheting up the size because he was starting to knock one back like it was nothing and would not even go straight to bed afterwards.
