Do you ever think about your kitchen sponge? It harbors ALOT of bacteria and is kept constantly wet.. Sponges are GROSS, to be short and sweet.

I've never felt the need to use anything other than paper towels. No risk of impaction, no risk of them eating it.

And if he's getting sphagnum moss outside of the humid hide, why not use another container that has a hole in the top, in the lid?
