5mice compare to 1 L.Rat

Hello all,l i would like to know if it is bad to feed my bp 5mice a week, compare to 1 med rat a week. The reason i ask is because my bp got his first war wound from a live rat, so i stoped feeding him rats. and when to mice, about 5 a week, small mice. Hope someone understands this.................

Well, first - your snake does not NEED anything larger than a 40-50 gram rat each week (that's roughly 4-5 weeks old), or the equivalent of 2 large mice.

No one in my crew gets more than 1 small/small rat a week, or two adult mice a week. My largest is 2150 grams.

So, I would say that you were over-feeding with 1 medium rat a week to begin with, so five mice is a bit of overkill, IMHO.
