my crestie questions?

Hello, i have a few questions about my crested gecko he seems to be drinking the water from his dish and his leaves when i mist but i never seen him touch the diet in the dish. When i put him in a little cage with 2 crickets he doesnt even know that they are there and he just trys to climb out of the cage? is he just not hungry or is something wrong? i got him friday and i just got his food yesterday but i tryed 2 times. i hope he will eat today

Most likely he is just settling in. What diet are you offering and how are you offering it? Are you offering the same food as he was used to prior to arriving at your house? What type of caging do you have him in? Also how old/big is he?

valentine, i sent you this pm (in response to yours) but i'm going to paste it here so we can work through this here so others can chime in as well:

how long have you had your crested? it is normal for them not to eat for the first few days while they settle in. are you feeding the repashy/t-rex crested diet? how are you mixing it--i.e. with plain water or with baby food or anything else? you should mix it a little on the soupy side so it doesn't dry up or thicken up too much for him to eat easily.

have you tried offering crickets to him in his tank or just in a separate tank? a lot of my cresteds get way too distracted if i move them to a separate tank to feed insects, but that kind of depends on the gecko.
