    No Copulation....why?

Well we start pairing our pairs in May here in South Africa (Southern Hemisphere)

I bred the female last year and she produced 7 eggs.I did not cool my snakes.

I have not cooled this year either.

My male is in shed at the moment.

I have only had the male with the female for 2 days but no copulation yet.

Am I just being impatient or what should I try?

    Re: No Copulation....why?

I would say a bit impatient. Some of my males took many introductions before they began to breed. I as well have a few females that laid last year that didn't want to go this year. Sometimes they take a year off. So it could be any number of reasons, but don't give up. Keep introducing him, and maybe they will get the point.

    Re: No Copulation....why?

I agree with Tim, keep pairing them. You may have to cycle the male through her cage for a while before they get excited about each other. # days with her and 2 days rest... keep doing that until you are blue in the face. Also, a tip that i got from others on here is to mist them when they are together in her bin.. it seemed to help get the sparks going for some of my females. Or, if you have another male, try cycling them both in her bin.. she may be interested in another male... keep at it

Good luck and keep us posted
