haha! so, funny story! well, to me anyways.... we bought our snakes two years ago, unsexed. we didn't really care at the time and just named them what we felt like naming them. so, we ended up with floyd and kiara. well, lately it's been bugging me so we decided to get them probed. we got in touch with this guy mike who is a science teacher and member of the local herp society.

we met him at his school today and were so pleasantly suprised when we walked into his room. there were tanks and cages everywhere! he had everything! 3 different kinds of boas (2 of each), 2 balls, 2 brazilian rainbow boas, 1 burm, assorted corn snakes, and he also had some birds, rats, gerbils, hedgehogs, not even sure what else! once we had a look around and oohed and ahhed at everything it was time to get down to business.

he checked floyd out first. he looked at his health, size, and color in general and said he was a very good looking, healthy specimen! (thank you, mike) then he probed (poor floyd) and discovered that floyd is, in fact a boy! yay!!!

now kiara. also very healthy, beautiful coloring, etc, etc. (thanks again!) then he went in. (poor kiara) and he kept going. and going. yup! our little girl is a boy too!!! ahhh man!!! so, although we would've liked one of each, we're still happy that now we know. but to find a new name for kiara.....

any suggestions???
