Male. his fault or not

Ok. I've had 2 completelty unrelated females drop bad litters. Would you say its the males fault?
1st female had like 6 live and the rest dead
2nd 8+ all dead
3rd female 2 alive and 7 dead.

I'm thinking its the males turn to go

How old are they? How old is the male? Have they breed before? I have seen males start shooting blanks but there is usually an underlying issue.

The male is about 5+ months old now. The females are all over 4 months, 1 approaching 8-9 months now. I just need to know if I should retire this male or give him another shot with the 1-2 litters he is currently responsible that are due within the month

If you have an alternate male I would use him (but don't get rid of the current male) this can act as a test to see where the issue lies.

At these ages they all should be fine and very capable breeders.

A couple more questions about the male - testes small/large (in relation to how they used to be)?, any bumps (growths under the skin)? eyes, ears, nose clear? strange or awkard walking?

Just trying to come up with a reason.

Jake what color/pattern is this male? Has he fathered successful litters prior? How are these females set up as far as housing, feeding, that sort of thing? When the litters died did you just find them dead at the birth or afterwards? Any indicator of nursing by the female? Any chewing on her young or just dead and tossed from the nest? More information please.

The male is a black hooded. 1 of the females had 6 healthy babies a week ago and he was the father

Well I put another male in with some of the females that had bad litters to see if he can do the job better

How are these females set up as far as housing, feeding, that sort of thing? When the litters died did you just find them dead at the birth or afterwards? Any indicator of nursing by the female? Any chewing on her young or just dead and tossed from the nest? More information please.
