    Sibling?

    If I have a male and female snake that have the same sire, but different dams, are they brother/sister? They are from different clutches, but both have same dad.. Thank You

    Using human terms they would be Half-brother and half-sister. Not sure with reptiles if there is a specific name for what they are.

    Assuming you are asking because of breeding potential? If so no issue with breeding them together.

    They are not full siblings since they are only related through their sire's genetics so basically half-sibs. As long as they are healthy, then there would be no issue with breeding them at some point when they are ready. Animals don't have the human morals against this sort of thing and line breeding is pretty acceptable when one is trying to bring out certain genetics.
