First bite!!!

So a couple days ago I got my first bite from a pet snake! I've been bitten by wild snakes that I've been pulling out of the grass/tree/bushes hell I've even been bitten by a copperhead when I was younger, but I've never been bitten by one of my pets, until a few days ago.

I reached into Camille's cage (getting ready to move her to a tub at the time actually) and I saw that she was pulled back in her usual "scared" position, but she never bites me. Normally when my hand is coming she yanks her head back and hides it in her coils. This time though, she struck. Surprised the hell outta me! It didn't really hurt, just surprised the hell outta me! Before I realized I actually yelled what the ____ is wrong with you!? at her...then I laughed my butt off at how stupid I was to yell at the snake. I pulled her out anyway and she was fine after that.

Checked her the next day when I was going to move her to her tub (temps were staying stable enough for me. She was in blue so that may have added to her striking me. I would have taken pictures but other then a tiny pin-prick of blood, there wasn't anything to see so I didn't bother :-p

Guess I can't say I've never been bitten now!

haha! i have the worst luck! i've been bitten by both of my snakes and my fiance never has. then, today, we were at a pet store and i asked to hold one of the balls there and as soon as the guy handed her to me, she bit me! snakes hate me and i don't understand! oh well! as long as i don't get tagged by anything bigger than a ball, i'm okay! welcome to the club! lol
